I have a few opinions on which YGO Game is the best. When Dark Duel Stories first came out, I was apalled at how poorly it played.. Sure, using Card Parts to construct your own Card was fun, but the Gameplay itself was atrocious at best.. The next few Games weren't any better, then they came out with Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel. Incredibly fun game that boasted two popular Cards as Promos as well: Harpie's Feather Duster and Sinister Serpent. It played according to the actual TCG up to that point in time(Right before Legacy of Darkness was released), and left the Player wanting more. Then there was PS2's Duelist of the Roses, a challenging Board Game structure that was impossible to stop playing. The Sacred Cards, a Game I based a Fanfiction from, was also fun and challenging, despite the horrible handicap of the Deck Capacity Limit, which governed how powerful your Deck could be, oftentimes leaving your Deck less potent than your Opponents. However, the next game in succession to all of these, for the GBA, was World Championship 2004. That Game was the closest thing to the actual TCG that one could get, it went as high in the Cards as Legacy of Darkness, but had no restrictions except the current Limited List of that time to bog the Player down. It was exciting, challenging, the CPU Opponents based off the Show were as powerful as they would be in their own Character, and it made you feel as though you were actually Dueling that person. I loved it so much, that I've continued to beat it 100% what'll be going on my 18th time soon. After that were Puzzle Games like Falsebound Kingdom and Capsule Monster, Strategy games like Reshef and Dawn of Destiny, World Championship 2005(not quite as good as 2004, though..), my favorite Puzzle Game known as Destiny Board Traveler, DS' Nightmare Troubador, and soon to be followed by many, many more. But, if I had to make a Top 5 List of my favorites, this would be it:
1. World Championship 2004
2. Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel
3. Duelist of the Roses
4. Destiny Board Traveler
5. The Sacred Cards
Well, that's all I have to say, I would've said something sooner, but I was just waiting for the right time.
