You want to know why my favourite character is Noa? Well, this'll be interesting.Noa is my favourite character for so many reasons. One, I always search for the individuality within people. Noa is different, he stands out, and that appeals to me greatly. As I've stated before, individuality is NECESSARY for life, and to find those in others is a special gift only certain people have. These people can often be associated with Jekyll/Hyde effects (Such as Noa, saves the "crew" from Gosoboro[sp?]).
Two, I find Noa to be the kind of person who is just misunderstood as an intellect. Some people have certain, shall I say, "higher levels of thinking", and can imagine things other people can't even dream of. These people become (eventually) insane, which is often seen as a sign of weakness, and therefore, misunderstood. This relates to Point One, as it shows individuality.
Three, (and this will sound VERY unprofessional [something I'm not very fond of]) HE'S A FREAKING GENIUS. The way he set up the Cyber World, and led them into traps, broke them apart, developed a whole new system to dueling, and had his own evil minions, shows how smart he can be. Everybody respects an intellect, don't they?
Fourth, he's all business. He knows what he wants, and he gets it. Such people have control of their life, and they demand respect, and they recieve it. Having control of your life lets you be happy, rich, famous, anything you want. Taking control of your life is the most important thing about living, knowing what you want and how to get it.
Fifth, he uses underrated cards. Shinato, King of a Higher Plane anyone? Spirit Cards? It fascinates me. The fact that he can take such cards with weak effects, and can use them so manipulatively, shows that he can create a sequence of events in his mind. People with this can make Gold out of crap, and it's very, very amazing.
Finally, all these points add up to one conclusion: I like Noa because he's the exact representation of a important businessman. He demands respect, he's knowledgeable, and he knows how to make a deal (though, I would hardly consider turning people into stone "a good deal"). He's my ideal person, and, like I said in my previous post, everybody has somebody they can relate to, whether good OR bad. Noa is mine, because I want to learn how to be such a figure as him (except for the whole, "dying-and-coming-alive-as-a-robot" thing).
Note that I'm not comparing Noa to Marik or Bakura. Also note that I didn't directly mention the vile quality of villians, for that is not what appeals to me.
Thank you.
Yes I would say this would be rather interesting. You seem to be the target of attention at the moment. I am sorry if my post seems aggressive. However I will attempt in the friendliest way possible.
Before I start to move onto your reply directly I want to ask you something to clarify.
Note: For further information on my Bullet Number 3, I propose reading "The Picture of Dorian Gray". Fascinating read.
I was talking to Nightshade earlier about your posts and the Book The Picture of Dorian Gray your mentioned caught her eye. She claims to have went threw the same story herself. She says that it has very little to do with what you have talked about in Bullet 3 of your first post before hand. Please explain.....
Moving on to your post. I do follow Dakura’s opinion as well and agree to your statement that Individuality is a most important factor in a person life. I myself am one that lives by this day to day. In fact my personality naturally dislikes the prospect of being manipulated and/or controlled by some one or something. I never responded positively to it. I have always been very independent in nature. However don’t miss understand this. Being “rebellious” and “independent” are too different things.
I cannot help but to notice that what you have been claiming and saying all this time about how being a individual is important seems to contradict itself. Such as comparing your first post under bullet 3 and that of your second post following your statement as quot.
All in all, just don't try to be someone else, or be influenced. It corrupts, terribly.
He's my ideal person, and, like I said in my previous post, everybody has somebody they can relate to, whether good OR bad. Noa is mine, because I want to learn how to be such a figure as him
In the regards to the second quot. Noa is influencing you.
As for Noa, I do believe you have misunderstood the character itself a great deal. Noa may be smart. However having knowledge is only a part of the intellect as a hole. For the intellect must have Wisdom enough to use such knowledge to its fullest potential and thus to help achieve individuality. Otherwise without proper wisdom. Such a mind cannot properly guide itself and is doomed to ether learn from another or end up in failure. ((Something I believe Dakura was trying to explain.)) You see Noa in all reality does not carry a great deal of wisdom. In fact sorry to say his mind despite having such vast knowledge is still bounded by that of a immature personality. That of a young boy.....I will explain why I say this.
1. You have forgotten to mention that Noa was not the one pulling the strings in this hole plot. It was Gosoboro all along. So who is to say that Noa was the one that actually formed all the details for the plans to begin with as you have clearly claimed. You cannot be for sure that some if not maybe most of it was implemented by Gosoboro. He may have just set the plot and let his son do the work for him. This way it would give his son a chance to prove himself to him. This brings to mind another point.
2. Noa as I mentioned before was still a mind of that of a child. As thus he still sought out expectance in his strive to seek his fathers love that he lost so long ago when imprisoned in the virtual world. He went to such great lengths to achieve this expectance from another person he looked up to. He allowed himself to become blindly influenced by another person. This in turn does confirm just about everything you have tried to make clear yourself in your first post in Bullet 3. Looking at it now you have effectively negated your own argument threw clear contradiction.
I mean common. If he was not so busy trying to be excepted by another person and being the actual individual-independent-businessmen-intellectual-genius as you claim him to be. Then he would not be so blind to what would have been the essence of common since. Another words the wisdom that could open eyes to what he could have done to achieve everything and anything he could ever want. Complete power and control of everything in the world itself. As I said knowledge without wisdom is just wasted potential.
Instead of trying to prove he is better then are beloved hero’s threw a contest of wits. ((This would be to help patch up is self insecurities by the way, which in my character analysis of him he does have.)) There was so much he could have done. I will explain everything he could have done threw what I would have done myself. I would have just forcefully taken Seto’s body, killed everyone else destroying any and all evidence of the act and even the extent to who they where, ((He would have the resources)), and then finally once I have a body I would finish proceeding to secretly infiltrate and take control of every major corporation in the world. ((Yes being the ultra powerful cybernetic entity that I was I would have already planned before hand all the way up to past this present stage. From where I would have already used my powers to gather all the knowledge I could ever need, infiltrate the corporations, and set the stage to my arrival in the real world to where I would finish my plans in the body of Seto Kaiba.)) Once I have taken control of all major corporations in secret. I could then move to Politics to where over long laden plans and actions I could have the world itself in my complete control.
I cannot help but to add this in on the last Note. In your reference to what you say that Noa uses underrated cards is not very accurate. First off Shinato is one of the strongest Ritual Based monsters in the game with 3300ATK and a damaging ability as you should already know. In the present Advanced Format you can make a Tournament Competitive Deck using Shinato effectively if you know what your doing. Jaspbur and Inferno would agree to that being possible. Also there are a lot of Spirit Monsters in the game that can be very useful in the right hands. Actually some of them are among the staple class of monsters in the game carrying time tested and proven potential. That would be Asura Priest, Tsukuyomi, and finally the dreaded and deservingly banned Yata Garasu. Most Spirit Monsters are only considered the lesser in quality even if they have great abilities by the fault they cannot be special summoned and return to the hand if they are face-up during the end phase of your turn. However I will also point out that this is actually a key benefitting factor towards other spirit monsters that make them all the more useful. Even deadly.... So to say that such monsters are weak in order to further praise Noa is heavily flawed.
Lastly Noa strategies and the Deck he used was extremely poor carrying numerous cards and strategies that in reality could not blend to well together. Many of these cards and strategies are too situation and dependant on a different style all there own. ((His Deck was all over the place.)) The only way it could work out as it did if he drew out his cards in the manner he had performed. Otherwise his strategies would be slow hosting a number of gaps for the opponent to pick him apart. ((It amazed me how he seem to be Dueling with one Deck at one moment. Then for some reason a completely different Deck at another.))
I believe I have said more then enough here. I will see what everyone else has to say.
